Hamilton Centre

The Hamilton Centre Clinical Partners at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne form an expert team of addiction specialists who work at the intersection of Mental Health (MH) and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD). 

The team provides primary and secondary consultations and focuses on capacity building. They mentor MH and AOD staff to enhance their knowledge, skills, and confidence in delivering better integrated care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. 

Additionally, the team develops and maintains training, supervision, and professional development opportunities for graduates, as well as pre-qualification and trainee positions in addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry. This aims to address workforce supply issues and ensure that current and future workforce requirements can be met.
