Module 8 - Culturally safe practice for First Nations Peoples with co-occurring conditions

Designed in collaboration with Clarisse Slater, a Yorta Yorta, Kamilaroi and Wiradjuri professional with over 20 years’ experience in the Aboriginal service sector, this introductory module explores: the prevalence of co-occurring mental health and AOD conditions in First Nations Communities; the impact of colonisation and intergenerational trauma on First Nations Peoples' access to services; health and wellbeing from an Aboriginal perspective; and strategies to enhance culturally safe practices.
